How does this sound?
Google Documents: Make the final decisions about how we will incorporate e-pals and google maps to allow students to be able to see the differences between different areas of the world. Then, polish it up so that it is ready to submit.
Google Map: Each one of us pick two locations from around the world (let's try to make them as different as possible) to represent a group in our classroom and include the information on the map. I already included Kalamazoo as a reference point for our classroom. I will pick two other locations though.
Let's try to get this done by Thursday night as we agreed for our deadline!
I think that the google document is good as it is now, unless there are any other suggestions anyone has? Also, i am going to try and play around more with the google maps tonight, but i am not completely sure if i understand how to use it correctly as a tool for in the classroom. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteGoogle maps is pretty fun, actually. If you put it on Satelite, you can actually see the place where you are marking.
ReplyDeleteIf you put a placemark on your location, it opens up a little box where you can add text. You can click on the ones I did to see an example.
Also, don't forget to click edit, otherwise you won't be able to change anything. Save will be right next to that then.
Alright, are we satisfied with our version of the Google doc? Because then we could post that and get at least one part successfully completed...

ReplyDeleteI double-checked the google document and I believe we have everything we need. I made a couple of changes (just editing stuff, no idea changes). If you want to check it over again and then post it, I am satisfied.
I just checked out the google map and it looks good.
